Bacterial infections
Bacterial infection occurs when bacteria enter your body and start multiplying which may cause tissue damage and make you sick. Mostly it is caused by Staphylococcus and Streptococcus organisms. The bacterial diseases are cholera, bacterial meningitis, tetanus, gonorrhea, pneumonia, and syphilis. Symptoms include fever, chills, and sweats, inflamed lymph nodes, headache, diarrhea, abdominal pain
Urinary tract infection
It is a type of infection that affects the urethra, kidneys, and bladder. It is caused by Escherichia coli (E.coli). Symptoms include abdominal pain, frequent urination, dysuria, blood in urine, foul-smell while urinating
Acute bronchitis
It is a viral infection that causes inflammation in the bronchial tubes. It is mostly caused by rhinovirus, adenovirus, influenza A and B, and parainfluenza virus. Symptoms include cough, fatigue, breathing difficulty, fever and chills, and chest discomfort.
Lower respiratory tract infections
Infection in the lungs especially in the lower airways Common infections are Bronchiolitis and Pneumonia which are caused by Streptococcus pneumonia. Symptoms include runny nose, dry cough, sore throat, low-grade fever, and headache.
Acute sinusitis
It is also called acute rhinosinusitis. It is an inflammation inside your nose which is called sinusitis. It is usually caused by the common cold, or by any viral or bacterial infection. Symptoms include runny nose, postnasal drainage, congestion, swelling around your eyes, ear pressure, headache, cough, bad breath, fatigue, and fever.

Tonsillitis
Inflammation of tonsils is called tonsillitis which causes server throat pain and is caused by Streptococcus pyogenic. Symptoms include inflamed tonsils, sore throat, difficulty in swallowing, bad breath, headache, and inflamed lymph nodes
Ear infection
It usually occurs when the bacterial or viral infection affects your middle ears. It is caused by colds, sinus infections, smoking, allergies, and inflamed adenosis. Symptoms include pain, hearing loss, pus-like drainage.

It is usually caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites. Common skin infection includes cellulitis, impetigo. Symptoms include red skin, blisters, swelling, pain, red spots, and tenderness

AUGMENTIN is used to treat a wide variety of penicillin-of-all kinds. It is often prescribed to deal with the multidrug-resistantPseudomonas aeruginosa(MDR-Pb-)andKlebsiella (Neisseria)bacterial infections.
Augmentin contains amoxicillin and clavulanic acid, which work by targetingClavulanate bacteria’s ability to resist amoxicillin while still allowing them to multiply. This combination is often used to treat various types ofP.aeruginosa.
Augmentin may also be used for purposes other than what you’re used to. Contact your healthcare provider if you have any further questions or are interested in use of augmentin in combination with cephalosporin or penicillin.
Foreuginosa infections, amoxicillin and clavulanic acid are important medications. They can be life-saving or even life-changing. You need to choose the infection that is best for you depending on your age, weight, medical condition and response to treatment.
Augmentin is used for various infections, including MDR-PThis bacteria is able to resist amoxicillin but still allowing it to multiply. You can usually tell by by what. This bacteria is able to resist amoxicillin when there is a sensitivity to clavulanic acid. Clavulanate bacteria are always sensitive to amoxicillin but are not able to resist clavulanic acid.
Augmentin comes in different forms, including capsules, oral suspension (liquid) and tablets. You can usually find augmentin in your hospital’s supply department but if you want to, speak to your healthcare provider about using augmentin along with cephalosporins or penicillins.
Cephalosporins and penicillins can be used for various infections but are usually reserved for infections that are not cured by them.
AUGMENTIN 375MG TABLET is used to manage bacterial infections, including middle ear and sinus infections, respiratory tract infections, genital tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections such as dental infections, bone and joint infections, septic abortion, and abdominal infections. The symptoms of bacterial infection include fever, difficulty breathing, pus formation, and pain.
It contains a combination of medicines called, which belong to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It works by preventing the growth of bacteria and helps clear up the infection.
AUGMENTIN 375MG TABLET is not recommended for use if you have liver problems or jaundice upon taking an antibiotic or amoxicillin-clavulanate. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are suffering from a hepatic impairment, liver disease, renal impairment, kidney disease, glandular fever, or are unable to pass water properly.
AUGMENTIN 375MG TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women only if it is considered necessary. It should be used with caution in children (aged below 12 years) and elderly patients (above 50 years).
The common side effects associated with the use of AUGMENTIN 375MG TABLET are diarrhea, thrush (fungal infection in the vagina, skin folds, or mouth), nausea, and vomiting. Contact your doctor immediately if any of the symptoms worsen.

It should be mentioned that viral infections like the flu and the common cold are not treated by this medication.
Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet consists of two medicines: Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin acts by destroying the outer protein layer, thereby killing the bacteria (bactericidal action). Clavulanic acid inhibits the enzyme beta-lactamase, which prevents bacteria from destroying the efficacy of amoxycillin. As a result, the action of Clavulanic acid allows Amoxycillin to work better and kill the bacteria. Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet does not work against infections caused by viruses, including colds and flu.
The dose of Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet can vary depending on your condition and the severity of the infection. Also, it is recommended to complete the course of medicine even if you feel better as it is an antibiotic, and leaving it in between may lead to even severe infection that will, in fact, stop responding to the antibiotic as well (antibiotic resistance). The common side effects of Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet include vomiting, nausea, and diarrhoea. Everyone may not experience the above side effects. In case of any discomfort, speak with a doctor.
Before starting Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet, please inform your doctor if you have any allergy (against any antibiotic) or kidney or liver problems. Do not take Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet on your own as self-medication since it may lead to antibiotic resistance in which antibiotics fail to act against specific bacterial infections. Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet is safe for children if prescribed by a doctor; the dose and duration may vary depending on the child’s weight and the severity of the infection. Inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking and about your health condition to rule out any unpleasant side effects.
How to take Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet: The recommended dosage of Augmentin is one tablet taken with water about 1 hour before a migraine attack or a fever rise is experienced. Follow the directions given to you by your doctor and do not take the dosage on an empty stomach. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. The dosage may depend on your age and the severity of the infection. Consult with you doctor if you are allergic to any of the medicines you are taking Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medicines including supplements or herbal products without explanation. Do not consume more Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet during the same time as the amount of medication you are taking as this may increase the risk of side effects.You should place the tablet under your tongue and discuss your treatment with your doctor before consuming. Do not stop taking Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet until you have discussed your treatment with the doctor, as it may lead to antibiotic resistance in your body. In case you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember it and continue with as normal as you would remember. However, if you take it sooner than it takes to worsens your condition, kindly do not take it and contact your doctor immediately. Do not take a double dose of Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet to make up for a missed dose as it may lead to resistance in your body.
How long does it take for Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet to work? The half-life of Amoxycillin is 7 to 10 hours. Some medicines used to treat heart conditions including Amoxycillin tablets have a half-life of 17 to 30 hours. Therefore, the infection should be treated with Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet for life. However, the half-life of Clavulanic acid is usually 8 to 12 hours. Do not consume more Clavulanic acid tablet during the same time as the amount of medication you are taking as this may increase the risk of side effects including vomiting and nausea.It is recommended to take Augmentin tablet whole with a glass of water (partial full-course) until all the medication is eliminated from your body. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible and consult your doctor. Do not take a double dose of Augmentin tablet to make up for a missed dose. The dosage may be depending on the severity of your infection. Inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking Augmentin 625 Duo Tablet. Do not consume more Augmentin 625 Duo Duo Tablet on an empty stomach as it may give antibiotic resistance your side effects.
